Awaara Paagal Deewana Sequel Dropped Due To Lack Of Funds

The sequel to Awaara Paagal Deewana has been scrapped. Feroz Nadiadwala was in talks with Ahmed for the film, but according to reports, the film has been dropped due to a lack of funds.

A source told Deccan Chronicle, “Nadiadwala was in talks with choreographer-turned-director Ahmed Khan to direct the sequel but now he has no funds to make the film and has dropped the idea.”

Meanwhile, the sequel to another classic Hera Pheri has also been dropped. Amitabh Bachchan walked out of the project first citing scheduling issues, and was followed by Sunil Shetty. 

Directed by Vikram Bhatt, Awaara Paagal Deewana was a comedy starring Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty, and Aftab Shivdasani. The film had music by Anu Malik.
