Irumukham: Joju George Starrer to be a Psychological Investigative Thriller, Says Director Sharafudeen

Irumukham is the title of actor Joju George’s upcoming Malayalam film which will be directed by debutant Sharafudheen. The actor made the announcement on Monday by releasing the title poster on social media. Several other Malayalam artists, including Dileesh Pothan and Dhyan Sreenivasan, shared the poster on their respective social media handles.

Rather than playing safe, Joju says he has only been trying to raise his own bar.  “I consider myself a student of cinema.  I still call my favourite filmmakers and ask for roles,” he admits.He played a string of lighter character roles after that, in Lal Jose’s Pullippulikalum Aattinkuttiyum, Bash Mohammed’s Lukka Chuppi and Abrid Shine’s Action Hero Biju.  In 2017, he broke his on-screen image through a negative-shaded role in Ranjith Shankar’s Ramante Eden Thottam, a domestic drama.

“While working in Joseph, Joju insisted that I sing all the songs in the film, especially Poomuthole which I’d made a dummy version with my vocals.At one point, he considered including a guitar portion to lend the song a more ‘contemporary’ touch, but Joju George, the lead actor and co-producer of the film insisted that the earlier version was better.
