Although The Priest isn’t a genre-bending work like Hereditary or Get Out, Jofin deserves a pat on the back for doing an impressive job of blending the elements of a conventional crime drama and a supernatural thriller.In The Priest, his second film in the horror genre, the actor keeps everything toned down.

Mammootty will appear in a guest role in Pada, an upcoming film directed by Kamal KM, according to a source close to the film. The actor, reportedly, shot for four days. The film has Vinayakan, Joju George, Dileesh Pothan and Kunchacko Boban playing the lead roles.
With the release date set for 12 December, the cast and crew of Mammootty starrer Mamangam is on a promotion spree for the movie. Mammootty and select members of the film’s crew were present at a media interaction where they spoke at length about the film.
Mamangam, the big-budget period drama starring Mammootty, will now release on 12 December 2019. The film was initially scheduled to release in theatres in three south Indian languages – Malayalam, Telugu and Tamil – and Hindi on November 21. The film’s extensive VFX work has reportedly caused the delay.

Angered by the trolling from fans of actor Mammootty, Rahul Rawail, the chairman of the National Film Awards Jury recently said that the Malayalam superstar lost out on the Best Actor award for the Tamil film Peranbu, because it never went past the regional panel. He also spoke to the actor about the aggressive trolling from his fans. Mammootty, Rahul said, had even issued an apology for his fans’ behaviour. Soon after the national awards were announced, angry fans of Mammootty attacked the jury chairman Rahul Rawail on Facebook using hashtags such as #justiceformammootty and #peranmbudeservesit. Subsequently, Rawail posted on Facebook a message he claimed to have sent to the actor, urging him to keep his fans on check.
Actor Rajkiran is making his Malayalam debut with Shylock, co-starring Mammootty and Meena. The film, directed by Ajai Vasudev, will begin shoot on August 7 and is likely to release in both in Tamil and Malayalam.
