Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter have wrapped up the shoot of Shashank Khaitan’s Dhadak, a remake of the Marathi film Sairaat. The movie went on floors in December last year. Back then, producer of the film, Karan Johar, shared a beautiful picture of the two leads shooting in Udaipur to announce his project taking off.
Varun Dhawan and filmmaker Shashank Khaitan, who last collaborated for 2017’s hit drama Badrinath Ki Dulhania, are all set to collaborate again for Rannbhoomi. This film will be produced by Karan Johar, bankrolled by his banner Dharma Productions.

Karan Johar announced on Monday that he will be producing a horror film series under the title Bhoot. The first in the franchise, Bhoot: Part 1 The Haunted Ship, will be directed by Bhanu Pratap Singh and stars Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead.
Following the story-line of Sairat, Dhadak goes exploring the grey territory of post-infatuation where the lovers feel the pangs of real life, realize that being around each other and building a life together isn’t as dreamy as a fairy tale.Sairat brought alive the socio-political nuances of the small-town so subtly that it crept into the audience’s understanding without them realizing it – like the almost-invisible moment where the boy’s mother hesitates a little when the girl comes to their house and asks for a glass of water. Dhadak unfolds in a one-note world.
‘Zingaat’ appears at a very important juncture in Sairat, and going by the looks of it, it’s a similar setting in Dhadak. The song with an addictive beat composed by Ajay-Atul was a huge hit in Marathi, and the same tune has been retained for the Hindi remake.
The song sees Farah Khan come out of “choreographic retirement” to get Ishaan Khattar and Janhvi Kapoor dance with gay abandon.
