Sidharth Shukla, the popular television and film actor, died at the age of 40 on Thursday after suffering from a heart attack. His post mortem report is still awaited.
The actor’s PR team said in a statement, “We have a request, we really want all of you to respect and stand with us during these tough times. As Sidharth’s PR team we humbly request the media to draw a line and give his family and loved one’s space and let them grieve. We are all in pain! We are as shocked as you are! And all of us knew Sidharth was a private person, so please respect his privacy, his family’s privacy. And please pray for His Soul To Rest in Peace.”
Several others from the film and TV industry have posted tributes for the late actor on social media.
Salman Khan, tweeted “Gone too soon Siddharth.. u shall be missed. Condolences to the family.”
Akshay Kumar meanwhile wrote, “Really sad to know about the passing away of Sidharth Shukla. I didn’t know him personally but it’s heartbreaking to know of such a talented life gone so soon.”
Ajay Devgn offered his condolences and tweeted, “Life & death are both baffling. But when someone as young as Sidharth Shukla passes away with suddenness, one is very sad… Condolences to his family.”
Sonu Sood also condoled Shukla’s death and tweeted, “Hard to believe he is no more, my heartfelt condolences go to his family. RIP my friend, u will be missed.”
Varun Dhawan, who worked with the late actor in the film Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, wrote in an Instagram post, “u are loved by so many and u touched so many with ur kind heart and beautiful personality. Today heaven has gained a star and we have lost one. My deepest condolences to the family and loved ones. (sic)”
Actor Asim Riaz, who appeared on Bigg Boss 13 along with the late actor, reached Cooper Hospital to pay his respects on Thursday. He also shared a video on social media from their time in the reality show and wrote, “I had dream in the morning about the big boss journey…. And I saw Siddarth after watching his bb clip he came and gave a hug to me…(sic)”
Shefali Bagga, another co-contestant alongside Shukla in Bigg Boss 13, wrote, “I am still shocked. I have no words. I seriously can’t believe that Siddharth Shukla is no more”
TV actor Karan Kundra wrote about his last conversation with Shukla, “Shocking.. just last night we were talking about how well you’re doing.. can’t believe! Gone to soon buddy gone too soon RIP will remember you always smiling.. extremely sad (sic)”
Actor Riteish Deshmukh tweeted, “Shocked beyond words!! Gone toooooo soon…. Condolences to his family, loved ones. – He was loved by millions.”
