Kamal Haasan Fully Recovers from Covid-19; Can Resume Work Soon

Actor-politician Kamal Haasan, who tested positive for Covid-19 recently and got admitted to a private hospital in Chennai, has “fully recovered” from the virus. However, he has been advised to remain in isolation until Friday, according to a health bulletin issued by the hospital on Wednesday.

Further, the bulletin notes that the actor will be “fit to resume his routine work” from Saturday.

On November 22, Haasan announced that he had tested positive for Covid-19 after he returned from a trip to the US trip with a cough. The actor also suffered from lower respiratory tract infection and fever. He got himself admitted to Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre in Chennai.

The health bulletin on Wednesday revealed that the actor, who was fully vaccinated at the same hospital earlier this year, had only suffered from “mild Covid” and had recovered from it completely.

Haasan had undertaken the trip to Chicago to launch his Khadi fashion label, KH House of Khaddar, the actor had earlier revealed while hosting the Tamil reality show Bigg Boss Season 5.

Actor Ramya Krishnan had stepped in to host the reality show last weekend. Haasan had, however, participated via video call and spoken to the contestants for a short duration. It is yet to be announced when Haasan will return to host the show.

Meanwhile, he also has the upcoming Tamil film Vikram set to release in April 2022. Co-starring actors Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil, it is directed by filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj. The makers recently revealed a glance from the film.

Besides this, Haasan was also in talks with directors Pa Ranjith and Vetri Maaran for different projects.
