Kundra, who is currently out on bail, issued a statement to this effect on social media on Monday, as per a Hindustan Times report.

“After much contemplation, considering there are many misleading and irresponsible statements and articles floating around and my silence has been misconstrued for weakness, I would like to start by stating that I have NEVER been involved in the production and distribution of ‘pornography’ EVER in my life,” said Kundra, according to this report.

He further added, “This whole episode has been nothing but a witch hunt. The matter is sub judice so I cannot elucidate, but I am ready to face trial and have full faith in the judiciary, where the truth will prevail.”

Kundra was arrested as the “key conspirator” in a pornography case on July 19. He has been accused of making pornographic videos under the pretext of producing short films for OTT platforms and distributing them on various apps.

On September 20, Kundra was granted bail in the case.

Recently, on December 15, he was granted four-week protection from arrest by the Supreme Court in another similar porn film case that began in October 2020.

In his statement on Monday, Kundra noted that he has already been pronounced “guilty” in the case by the media. He added that he and his family, consisting of his wife Shilpa Shetty and their two children, have been subjected to a “lot of pain (continuously), violating [his] human and constitutional rights at different levels.”

“The trolling, negativity and toxic public perception has been very debilitating. To set the record straight, I do not hide my face in shame, but wish that my privacy is not intruded anymore with this continued media trial. My priority has always been my family, nothing else matters at this juncture. I believe it’s every person’s inalienable right to live with dignity and I request the same. Thank you for taking out time to read this statement, and respecting my privacy henceforth,” he said.
