According to Variety, the 46-year-old actor has been sentenced to one year in prison and has been fined $5,464.97. The indemnification must be paid within 72 hours of the arrest. Since Antony Starr has no previous criminal record and the conviction period was less than two years, the prison sentence was automatically suspended.

However, when Variety contacted the local police department, they neither commented on the reason for Starr’s arrest nor did they confirm the duration of his prison sentence.

Deadline reported that Starr was arrested by the police for assaulting a 21-year-old Venezuelan chef in a club. The chef, Bathuel Araujo told the police that the actor was inebriated and kept bumping into people. After a verbal argument, the chef alleged that Starr got physical and hit him with a glass. The altercation caused him to get four stitches above his eye. However, the fight did not end there. The two once again got into a fight until the police came and arrested Starr.

The Boys actor then spent the night in jail.

Araujo reportedly told local newspapers that he did not know who Antony Starr was but the actor threatened him after their initial scuffle by saying, “You won’t know who I am and what you’ve done.”

Starr has been in Spain for a month shooting for director Guy Ritchie’s new action-thriller film alongside Jake Gyllenhaal, Alexander Ludwig, Jason Wong, and Emily Beecham.

Since the shooting for the third season of The Boys has been wrapped up, Antony Starr’s arrest will have an impact on its release. The other cast members of the show are scheduled to appear at the South by South West film festival next week in Texas. However, Starr was not to make an appearance due to his shoot in Spain.
