The Family Man actor Priyamani’s marriage to Mustafa Raj has been challenged by his first wife Ayesha, who has alleged that she is still married to him.
Raj and Priyamani tied the knot in 2017. Raj separated from Ayesha in 2013.
Talking to ETimes, Ayesha said, “Mustafa is still married to me. Mustafa and Priyamani’s marriage is invalid. We have not even filed for divorce and while marrying Priyamani, he declared in the court that he was a bachelor.”
According to the report, Ayesha has filed a criminal case against Priyamani and Raj saying that he has not separated from her legally till date and hence their marriage is illegal. She has also filed a case of domestic violence against Raj.
Raj and Ayesha have two children.
Replying to her allegations, Raj told ETimes “The charges against me are false. I am paying the children’s maintenance to Ayesha regularly. She is simply trying to extort money from me.”
As per Mustafa’s response, he and Ayesha were living separately since 2010 and got divorced in 2013.
“My marriage with Priyamani happened in 2017, why was Ayesha quiet for so long?” he added.

When asked why she chose not to speak for so long, Ayesha said “As a mother of two children, what can you do? One tries to sort it out amicably but only when it doesn’t work out, some steps need to be taken because you don’t want to lose out on time which he has been using against me now.”
Purnima Bhatia, Mustafa’s lawyer told the publication that the matter is currently pending before the magistrate court.
An official statement from both parties is awaited.
Priyamani was last seen in the Telugu action-drama Narappa directed by Srikanth Addala. The film featured Venkatesh Daggubati and Karthik Rathnam in lead roles. Prior to that, she appeared in the second season of The Family Man on Amazon Prime Video.
