The court sought the rapper’s response and also directed Singh to file the documents of his companies registered abroad. The matter is slated for Friday.

Singh has been accused of domestic violence by his wife. Earlier this month, he appeared before Delhi’s Tis Hazari Court, which listed the matter for September 28.

Talwar had filed a plea under the ‘Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act’ in Delhi’s Tis Hazari Court, and the case was registered on August 3 before Ms Tania Singh, Chief Metropolitan Magistrate of the court.

Talwar alleged that she was subjected to physical, verbal, and mental abuse at the hands of Singh on numerous occasions. She also alleged that Singh used to earn around Rs 4 crore a month through his songs, royalties and performances and that he would often be paid in cash, but not disclose this to her. She also said that he got addicted to alcohol and drugs, and accused him of infidelity as well.

She also mentioned in her plea that she has been living under the constant threat of physical harm.

On August 6, Singh issued a statement on social media refuting his wife’s allegations, which he said were ‘false and malicious’. He also requested his fans to not draw any conclusions about him or his family while the case was going on.

Citing that she had “suffered immense pain and hurt” throughout the marriage, Talwar’s petition had also urged the court to direct Singh to pay her rent of Rs 5 lakh per month and restrain him from disposing of their marital home or her stridhan (the property given to a woman during her marriage).

Additionally, Talwar also sought an interim compensation of Rs 10 crore.

At the hearing on August 28, the court had passed interim orders restraining Singh from disposing of their jointly owned properties and the stridhan owned by his wife.

Singh and Talwar got married on January 23, 2011, after being in a relationship for close to two decades. However, the rapper only introduced her to his fans in 2014 through an episode of the reality show India’s Raw Star.
