While the Mumbai small-screen industry was given the green signal to commence with shoots in June, the Hindi film industry is still under lockdown with a lot of investments continuing to remain immobilised. Though in a better position, only a limited number of crew members have been allowed for TV shoots too, leaving a good amount of daily wagers and technicians unemployed. Even those who have been employed aren’t able to sustain like before owing to the reduction in the number of shoots and in turn salary paid.

Considering this, Rohit Shetty has decided to distribute a share of his pay from Khatron Ke Khiladi to junior artists, background dancers, stuntmen, lightmen, and the various other workers associated with the entertainment industry.

Earlier, Rohit had also contributed money to the paparazzi who were struggling due to lack of work.

Meanwhile, Rohit’s Sooryavanshi , which is the fourth instalment in his ‘police universe’ films, will tentatively hit theatres for Diwali on November 13.
