The film is heavily influenced by Tom Tykwer’s German classic Run Lola Run (1998). However, the makers have guts to acknowledge in the end title card that the film is inspired from Run Lola Run, Rashamon and Virumandi On the downside, the film becomes predictable in the second half and should have been trimmed to make it 2 hours. Chimbudevan is imaginative and this film is sure to appeal to someone seeking a refreshing change.
