There are few things I liked in the movie. The honesty and genuineness in which Suseenthiran dealt with the subject. 2nd half is where all the action happens and there is this brutality factor which makes it more original. There is a small investigation scene and that was well scripted. The movie has a bit of family and emotional angle too, which was handled with ease. There are no heavy punch dialogues and goons flying everywhere. The action sequences were believable and packed a punch. Payum Puli is a decent cop thriller, except for the commercial sacrifices made in the 1st half.
