A supporter of TTV Dhinakaran has filed a petition against Kamal Haasan at the Coimbatore district court for his alleged comments against the residents of RK Nagar and Dhinakaran.

Kamal Haasan recently wrote an article for the Tamil magazine Ananda Vikatan, alleging that TTV Dhinakaran may have won the RK Nagar by-polls by buying votes. In the article, Haasan wrote that the by-election was a “stain” on the current state of democracy in the State.

“RK Nagar by-polls is a big stain on Tamil Nadu politics; it is a big stain on Indian democracy. I won’t call this purchased win even a scam… this is a daylight crime,” he wrote.
