The Coimbatore wing of the Manithaneya Makkal Katchi plans to file a case against actor Y Gee Mahendra for his comments on the Swathi murder case. The actor had alleged in a Facebook post that Swathi’s killing hadn’t gained much attention because of the community she belonged to.
“His post has created unwanted tension among certain sections of the society and is an attempt at bringing a communal divide. We will be filing the case after Eid-ul-Fitr,” said a member of the outfit to ToI.
