Looks like George Takei did not take the latest reveal from Star Trek Beyond, that well. Sulu, the character that Takei played in the original Star Trek films will be gay in the current re-boot, which has perplexed Takei no end. “I’m delighted that there’s a gay character,” he told The Hollywood Reporter. “Unfortunately, it’s a twisting of Gene’s creation, to which he put in so much thought. I think it’s really unfortunate.”
