From Dhanush’s parental woes to Nadigar Sangam’s dramatic recent meeting, a quick look at all things bright and shiny in Cinema today.
1) Nadigar Sangam’s AGM became the stuff of Tamil film director’s dreams. Scandalous allegations were made; Sarath Kumar and Radha Ravi were ousted from the Sangam; Cars were smashed and offices attacked.
2) Enai Nokki Paayum Thotta will release on February 2017. The first look of Dhanush – Megha Akash film was released recently, and predictably, began to trend on social media.
3) Actor Dhanush was served with a court summons recently. The Melur court asked the actor to appear for a case involving an old couple who alleged that Dhanush was their son. They’ve asked him to make monthly payments of Rs 60,000 for upkeep and maintenance.
4) Radhika went on a Twitter rant recently, after her husband Sarath Kumar, and half-brother Radha Ravi were ousted from the Nadigar Sangam. The actress slammed the Sangam’s ‘sudden decision’, and the various irregularities in their recently-held AGM.

5) Castration is the only way to deal with rapists, actress Meera Jasmine said recently. The actress feels that existing laws are not adequate enough to deal with sexual crimes. “Those who are sexually attacking women should be given painful punishment and castration is the only way to deal with such persons. If such persons are given painful punishment, they will never dare to touch a woman in their life,” the actress added.
