Jeetendra, whose real name is Ravi Kapoor, is the son of the victim’s father’s sister. As per the complaint filed with the Himachal Pradesh’s Director General of Police, the incident took place in 1971 when the actor was 28 and the victim 18. The complainant stated that Jeetendra had “arranged” for the victim to join him in Shimla where he was shooting for a movie.

The victim claimed that on the night they reached Shimla, Jeetendra came back to the room in an inebriated state and sexually assaulted her.

Meanwhile, Jeetendra’s advocate Rizwan Siddiquee released a statement saying that the allegation was “baseless and ridiculous”.

“Foremost, my client specifically and categorically denies any such incident. Besides even otherwise such baseless, ridiculous and fabricated claims cannot be entertained by any court of law or the law enforcement agencies after a span of almost 50 years,” it said.
