Kamal Haasan, host of reality show Bigg Boss Tamil, apologised on Saturday’s show for the irresponsible portrayal of mental illness in a task the contestants were asked to do. “If this happens again… this show isn’t so important to me,” he said.

Last week’s challenge had the contestants dress up and act like people in a ‘mental hospital’. They played doctors, a ward boy, nurse, attenders and those with mind-related issues.

This task received a lot of flak from the public. Kamal Haasan said that just because he is the host of the show, it doesn’t mean that he gets to decide the tasks.

Veteran Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar is recuperating at the Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai and will be kept under observation in the intensive care unit (ICU) for the next two-three days. Reports say that he is conscious right now.
