China’s censor board has cut a scene which shows actor Michael Fassbender kissing another man in the recently-released sci-fi horror film, Alien: Covenant. In total, the Chinese authorities have deleted six minutes worth of footage from the film, including scenes that showed violence and bloodshed, reported The Hollywood Reporter. The film is directed by Ridley Scott.

The scene takes place late in the movie and involves the two cyborgs, Walter and David, both played by Fassbender. Gay activists said the removal of the kiss was more jarring than the cuts to the film’s violence.
