Steven Spielberg’s next directorial The Post, which is presented by Reliance Entertainment and stars Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep, will be releasing in India on January 12 next year.

Actress Kriti Kharbanda, whose latest movie is Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana, believes there is nothing wrong in objectifying a woman’s beauty, as long as it is done aesthetically.

The Akhil Bhartiya Brahman Mahasabha, a Brahmin organisation, has claimed that the film – Dashkriya, “hurts Brahmin sentiments and shows them in poor light”. The organisation is now urging city theatres not to screen the movie and has petitioned the Pune Police regarding this.

While some cinema halls have decided to go ahead with the screening of the film, others have adopted a ‘wait and watch’ policy. Neerav Panchamia, chief operating executive, E-Square, confirmed that the film would be screened at the theatre. “We will only stop the screening if the producer and distributor ask us to do so, and so far we haven’t heard from them,” he said.
