In an interview with Silverscreen earlier, Kamaraj had said, “I have done a lot of research on this subject. I have observed that while 1,000 boys attend cricket division selection matches, only 60 girls come forward for the women’s cricket division matches. My script will throw light on the struggles of one such courageous woman. Though it is a sports-based film, it is an emotional drama of a father and a daughter, who aspires to become a cricketer.”
