A quick look at everything making news in the world of cinema today!

What’s making the news

The producers of Neeyum Naanum Naduvula Peyum and Dhilluku Dhuddu have registered complaint against Vadivelu with the Tamil Nadu Producers Council, reported The Times Of India. The actor was accused of not turning up for the shoot despite receiving a huge sum.

Earlier, a complaint was filed against the actor by Shankar who is producing Imsai Arasan 2, for unprofessional behaviour.

Aishwarya Rajesh has been roped in for Arunraja Kamaraj’s directorial debut on women’s cricket. The film is being produced by Sivakarthikeyan.

In an interview with Silverscreen earlier, Kamaraj had said, “I have done a lot of research on this subject. I have observed that while 1,000 boys attend cricket division selection matches, only 60 girls come forward for the women’s cricket division matches. My script will throw light on the struggles of one such courageous woman. Though it is a sports-based film, it is an emotional drama of a father and a daughter, who aspires to become a cricketer.”
