The audio and trailer of Naangellam Edagoodam was released at a small event in the city yesterday. Yesteryear actress Nirosha, director Keyaar and stunt master Jaguar Thangam were in attendance to help launch the movie’s soundtrack. Actress Nirosha was all praise for the young team. She said, “the cast and crew are all dressed alike today and that shows the friendship and love amongst them. I’m sure they will find success with this venture!”
Audio launch regular, Keyaar, enlivened the proceedings as usual. Speaking about the state of film business at present, he said, “These are sad times. A lot of movies are still pending release and some have been in the wait for over two years. Even superstar’s Kochadaiiyaan is yet to do any business! So, young and small filmmakers, there’s no need to be afraid!”
After spouting such pearls of wisdom, the director then went on to congratulate the cast and crew of the movie. Naangellam Edagoodam , directed by R Vijaya Kumar, follows a young man from Chennai slums who goes on to become a boxing legend. Actor Manoj Devadass plays the lead while Veena Nair dons the role of his supportive girlfriend. Debutant Charles Melvin has scored music. The flick is likely to release next month.
