The I audio launch was billed as the biggest of the year, with the filmmakers flying in the Austrian Aalamaram Arnold Schwarzenegger to promote the soundtrack. If you think someone gave him the title at the audio launch, check Wikipedia.
Everything went well at first: his flight was on time, the traffic was not that crazy and even the notoriously unstable monsoon held back a little.
And then the event happened.
Things went just a little haywire during the event and Schwarzenegger (Arnold to every self respecting Tamizhan) left the event abruptly – without releasing the audio or meeting the star of I, Vikram.
Naturally, everybody and their uncles had theories as to why the Terminator star never came back.
Theory 1:Wait Your Turn

Arnold Schwarzenegger was irritated when the host of the evening, Bobby Simhaa, tried to hold him back from speaking onstage. With a curt “I know when’s the right time to speak…” he proceeded to gush about the teaser, Shankar and Rajinikanth, in that order. After which, he walked off, never to be seen again. Except in that video on Instagram.
Theory 2 : Gotta Move My Feet, So I Don’t Miss That Flight
The event was originally scheduled to begin at 6 PM, something nobody took seriously. Obviously Schwarzenegger did. As the performances went on and on with no end in sight, the actor left abruptly ‘cause he had a flight to catch.
Theory 3 : You Can’t Touch This
A definite highlight of the evening was this touching performance by a group of bodybuilders, who made a tribute of sorts to their favourite idols, Arnold and Rajinikanth. They kneeled down in front of them and a delighted Arnold went on to hug and shake hands with all of them. But an overenthusiastic bodybuilder kissed the star’s hand and this apparently irked him. So he cut short his appearance and moved on. To Delhi.
Theory 4 : No Suit For You
Arnold hugs the heavily oiled and tanned bodybuilder and gets some of that oil on his gray suit. No matter how hard he tries, it doesn’t wash away. Like all of us normal human beings, he doesn’t find it necessary to carry spare clothes everywhere. So has to go away. We can totally relate to this situation.
Theory 5 : A Promise Is As a Promise Does
Schwarzenegger committed to two hours for Aascar and his team and when the two hours were up, he left.
