IIFA Awards: Queen, Haidar Win Big

Vikas Bahl’s Queen bagged and Vishal Bhardwaj’s Haidar bagged the top prizes at the 16th edition of International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards held in Kuala Lumpur. The three-day-long extravaganza came to a close on Sunday.

Queen bagged the best picture award. Other movies which were nominated for the top award were 2 States, PK, Haider, Highway and Mary Kom. Kangana Ranaut won Best Actress award, which was collected by Vikas Bahl on her behalf.

Best Director award was won by Rajkumar Hiran for PK. The Best Male Actor award went to actor Shahid Kapoor for his performance in Haider. He beat the likes of Aamir Khan (PK), Hrithik Roshan (Bang Bang!), and Shah Rukh Khan (Happy New Year)  to win the award.

Deepika Padukone was felicitated with the Woman Of The Year award and Riteish Deshmukh grabbed the award for Best Performance in a Supporting Role (Male) for his villainous act in Ek Villain.

Best Debut Direction: Omung Kumar for Mary Kom and Sajid Nadiadwala for Kick
