Hulk look-alikes, Prabhas and Rana Daggubati, were spotted all over the waiting hall at the Baahubali trailer launch. The event began two hours late, and in the meantime, a questionable blue-colored drink was served which I cautiously stayed away from. Large LED panels then displayed random images from the film.
Tamannaah was the first to arrive in a pink saree, looking every bit like Princess Avanthika, her character in Baahubali. The rest of the crew followed, with Suriya, the chief guest of the event. Baahubali has a very ‘tall’ cast indeed, Prabhas, Rana, Anushka and Sathyaraj to name a few. The event started with an AV on the making of Baahubali, right from the 1500 different sketches they made, storyboards, war costumes, makeup, VFX and so on.
Madhan Karky, who wrote the Tamil dialogues, took to the stage and spoke highly of all the actors, who put in much effort in getting their lines right. He also praised Rajamouli, who is a ‘perfectionist in every sense’.

Sathyaraj said, “Some movies were made to entertain, some to make audiences think, some to make them cry, but Baahubali is made just to make their jaws drop.”
#LIVE : Sathyaraj says that #Baahubali is made just to make ‘jaws drop’. Well, the trailers alone have managed that.

Nasser made a special mention about the women who worked on Baahubali, which brings us to the pretty actresses Anushka and Tamannaah, who were all praise about their co-artistes Prabhas and Rana.

An AV was screened on Rana, how he transformed himself to the mountain that we see in the trailers, his dedication pretty evident. Prabhas, the newcomer to Kollywood, was surprisingly impressive with his Tamil.

He even joked that he may not get married until Baahubali-2 gets done with.

SS Rajamouli, who is in director Shankar’s league when it comes to a brammaanadamana padam, said that he was very emotional to be in Chennai, where he had his first brush with cinema.

He also mentioned the incident about Suriya, who had expressed his interest in acting in Baahubali a year ago. Following, which SS Rajamouli was apparently flooded with tweets and messages from Suriya’s fans urging the director to take him on board! Fans, we say!

K.E Gnanavel Raja admitted that his wife was not very fond of Rana Daggubati, who is quite the party animal, and that he feels privileged to be presenting the film.
From start to finish, the event was full of praises, goosebump-generating videos, and supplying proof to the team’s claim that Baahubali would be “India’s Biggest Motion Picture.”
