Yennai Arindhaal was all that everyone could talk about last week. On the day of the film’s release, milk packets and firecrackers were in great demand. A slew of celebrities visited a local theatre on the first day of the movie and were photographed by our canny team. We also have video proof of the whole celebration thing, just in case you don’t believe us.
On a totally unrelated note, SP Charan spoke to us about being a bad student, producing films and also, the reason he rolls his Rs. Later, the usually chirpy Powerstar Srinivasan went on a rant against an unnamed producer at an event recently, and destroyed everyone’s perceptions of the guy.
Awards fever hit the industry with a vengeance last week. Celebrities broke out their best ballgowns and black suits for a flurry of red carpet events. All of which found place in this nice slideshow.
On the reviews front, Yennai Arindhaal, we learnt, was a re-arrangement of GVM motifs. But it was stylish and so in vogue. Pongi Ezhu Manohara, on the other hand, could’ve been impactful, but became a half baked mess instead.
