Directed by G Srinivasan, the film’s trailer reveals a social drama mixed with romance in this Vijay Antony-starrer. This is a story of twin brothers, Annadurai and Thambidurai. Annadurai is a nice man but an alcoholic. The film looks to take on the social issue surrounding alcohol addiction via this character. The other twin, Thambidurai, is a PT master.
Annadurai has Diana Champika and Mahima as female leads and Radharavi and Kaali Venkat in supporting roles. The film is also being released in Telugu as Indrasena.
Thiruttu Payale 2 (Tamil)
Susi Ganeshan’s Thiruttu Payale 2 features Bobby Simha, Amala Paul, and Prasanna in the lead. The erotic thriller is a sequel to the first film Thiruttu Payale that released in 2006.
In an interview with Silverscreen, Amala Paul elaborated on her role Agalvilakku.
“It’s one of the most honest characters I’ve done. Usually, the hero and heroine are all positive. But, in real life, we display various shades, from white to grey to dark, depending on the situation. I love that I’m no Sathi Leelavathi in the movie; I’m real.”
Director Susi Ganeshan, tells Silverscreen about the film:
“I like to break predictability; Thiruttu Payale 2 has mostly been shot in green and yellow. And, while the original was a dark commercial film, this one’s all bright and stylish, because it is ultimately about a white collar crime.”
Apart from its lead cast, the film also stars Sanam Shetty, Vivekh and Robo Shankar in supporting roles. Vidyasagar is the composer for this one, and the film is being bankrolled by AGS Entertainment.
Tera Intezaar (Hindi)
This romantic thriller film stars Sunny Leone and Arbaaz Khan in the lead, directed by Rajeev Walia.
The film also stars Arya Babbar and Gauahar Khan in pivotal roles. Earlier, the director told news agency IANS that the film is one of Sunny Leone’s best performances. “Tera Intezaar is a very stylish film which has a Hollywood look with a Bollywood feel. The film will show Sunny Leone from a very different perspective and angle. You will see Sunny like you have never seen before. She has delivered her best performance and has put her heart and soul in the character of Rounak.”
Starring comedian Kapil Sharma, the film is a period action-comedy drama film set in the year 1920, directed by Rajiev Dhingra. The film also Ishita Dutta and Monica Gill. Primarily shot in Punjab and Rajasthan, Sharma is also one of the producers of the film.
In an interview with The Hindustan Times, the comedian actor spoke about the film:
“I am playing an underdog Monga who falls in love with a girl. Unemployed youths have a tendency to fall in love anyway, but his marriage seems difficult because he doesn’t do anything. He gets a job with the British army by fluke, but the girl’s family is not ready to accept Monga because he is serving the enemy.”
