The 14th Chennai International Film Festival, which was scheduled to begin on December 15, has been postponed to January 5 on account of the demise of former chief minister J Jayalalithaa.

The festival will have the screening of films selected for the Indian Panorama, films that won the Oscar Award for Best Foreign Language Films in 2015, and many more from countries like France. Brazil and Iran. Apart from these 12 Tamil films will be screened under the competitive category.
