Director Badri who last directed the ‘Thillu Mullu’ remake with Shiva is back with a new movie. Titled ‘Aadaama Jaichomada’, the movie is ‘a dark comedy along the lines of Soodhu Kavvum and Sutta Kadhai’. Starring former Mirchi RJ Balaji, the movie is almost complete and is in the post production phase. With a stellar cast comprising ‘Aadukalam’ Naren, Bobby Simhaa, Karuna and others, the movie is slowly generating a lot of interest. Incidentally, it is also the latest movie to join the ‘Cricket flick’ bandwagon.
Th director was inspired by the scandals that afflicted the beloved sport the past few months and he decided to incorporate them in his new movie.”Cricket is something every Indian is passionate about. Every time the IPL comes into town, the whole city comes to a standstill. But, its not honest anymore. Its not just a win or a loss anymore. The winner gets a trophy, while the loser gets wads of cash. How is this sportsmanship?” Badri fumes. ” My movie takes corruption head-on and will reveal the seedy underbelly of cricket. Of course it also has some mass elements!”
The music is by Sean Roldan, the lead singer of a popular indie group while the cinematography is by Dwarakanath. According to the director, efforts are on to come up with innovative ideas to make the movie appealing to the audience. Aadama Jaichomada will likely release in April 2014.
