Aadhi Urges People to Vote

Recommended

Actor Aadhi and nine of his friends from various fields have come together to form a group called ‘Let’s Bridge’ that campaigns on the streets, urging people to vote. The group plans to take on ten people each and spread the message. Speaking to Silverscreen, Aadhi explains, “We are urging first-time voters to exercise their right to franchise. They need to understand the power of a vote. We do not seek sponsorship from corporate houses. We only ask people to give some time back to the society.” As part of their campaign, the team will also encourage children to urge adults to vote. “It is a unique feature. We will be organising “stamp camps” across the city. In these camps, school children will stamp a message on the hands of adults that says, ‘Our future is in your hands. Vote responsibly.’ We  hope this motivates the parents and other adults enough,” Aadhi added.

Earlier, stars including Kamal Haasan, S P Balasubrahmanyam and Arjun Sarja have been involved in an ethical voting campaign organised by the Election Commission of India.
