The shoot of Aavi Kumar is currently taking place at Saveetha Medical College in Chennai. The makers have employed 500 junior artistes to shoot a few important scenes. Actor Udhaya dons the lead role, while debutante Kanika Tiwari is the heroine.. Nandu Jagan is in charge of comedy. Aavi Kumar is a comic-thriller directed by Kandeepan and produced by Sridhar Narayanan, Siva Saravanan and Venkateshwaran for Action Take Movies. Vijay Antony has composed the music . Major portions of the film have also been shot in Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore.
