Actor Aditya Pancholi and film producer Sam Fernandes have lodged cross Non-Cognisable (NC) complaints against each other following a dispute, a Mumbai Police official told PTI. The police further added that both have accused each other of manhandling and using abusive language.
According to the report, Fernandes and Pancholi recently met at a hotel in Juhu, Mumbai, to talk about Pancholi’s son, Suraj Pancholi‘s, role in a film that was to be produced by Fernandes. However, both reportedly entered into a heated argument over the film’s production and allegedly manhandled each other, the Juhu police told PTI.
The official further told the news publication that because of some financial issues, the production of Fernandes’ movie got stuck, but Pancholi kept insisting he complete the film. The cross complaints have been registered under charges of intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace and punishment for criminal intimidation of the Indian Penal Code, the report stated.
Talking about the hotel incident, that reportedly took place on January 27, Fernandes told the Times of India, “Aditya wanted to meet me, so he called me to a hotel. Since a few people were already present in his room, we decided to have a discussion in the corridor. After some time, he told me that I must take his son in the film, or he wouldn’t let me make it. He abused me and tried to punch me. When I turned to leave, he kicked me on my back. I went straight to the Juhu police station and filed an NC against him.”

Meanwhile, Pancholi, talking to TOI, stated that he had lent the producer a sum of Rs 90 lakh 50 thousand in 2020. “On January 27, he visited me at a hotel and, after a while, started misbehaving with me and talking rubbish about Sooraj and my family. He asked me for more money, and I refused. I asked him to return the money he had earlier borrowed, but he flatly refused. Next, I got to know that he filed a non cognisable (NC) complaint against me at the Juhu Police Station. I, too, filed an NC complaint against him the following day. I have also filed an application for an FIR against him at the Versova police station,” Pancholi told TOI.
