Balki and Dulquer however have not officially announced the film yet. Details regarding the yet-to-be-titled film’s cast, crew and language are also yet to be announced by the makers.
The upcoming psychological thriller film marks the first collaboration between Dulquer and Balki. While Dulquer has collaborated with Sreeram in O Kadhal Kanmani, the 2015 Tamil film directed by Mani Ratnam, Balki has collaborated with Sreeram in all five of his directorial ventures — Cheeni Kum, Paa, Shamithabh, Ki and Ka and Padman.
Dulquer who predominantly works in the Malayalam and Tamil cinema industries made his acting debut in Hindi with Karwaan, the 2018 comedy-drama film directed by debutant Akarsh Khurana. The film also starred Mithila Palkar and late actor Irrfan Khan in lead roles. His second Hindi film was The Zoya Factor alongside Sonam K Ahuja in 2019.
The actor-producer, who was last seen in a cameo role in Malayalam film Maniyarayile Ashokan, has a slew of upcoming projects. This includes two Malayalam films- Kurup, and Salute. While in Kurup, Dulquer will play the role of wanted fugitive Sukumara Kurup, in Salute, directed by Rosshan Andrrews, he will play the role of a police officer. Dulquer is also part of Tamil romantic drama film Hey Sinamika, written by Madhan Karky and directed by Brinda. He is also part of a trilingual periodic romantic drama directed by Hanu Raghavapudi.
