The body of model and actress Kritika Choudhary was found in a decomposed state in her apartment in suburban Mumbai on Monday. The police discovered her body, and an investigation has already begun. A report in IE states that the actress could have been dead for over three days.
The body has been sent for autopsy, and the police suspect foul play in her death. “Around 3.45pm on Monday, the Amboli police received a call stating that a foul smell was coming from a room in Bhairvanath SRA society near the Regional Transport Office (RTO) at Four Bungalows. The police opened the door and found the decomposed body of a lady aged 25-30 years. Prima facie an accidental death report has been taken in the matter and investigation is underway,” said Rashmi Karandikar, spokesperson for the Mumbai police.
Kritika had appeared in various television shows including a Balaji production, Parichay. The police broke into her room and found the AC of the room switched on. “The AC of the room was on, so that smell could not come out soon. We believe she was murdered three to four days back, today foul smell started emitting [sic],” the police stated, addressing the media.
The police further added that the house was locked from the outside. “We are trying to find out if she had had a fight with anyone or if she had been worried about something,” an officer added.
The actress, who hailed from Haridwar, played a part in Kangana Ranaut’s Rajjo. The movie got shelved.
