Actor Mamta Mohandas, who predominantly appears in Malayalam films, has launched a production company Mamta Mohandas Productions, the actor announced on social media on Wednesday.
Mohandas launched the production company in collaboration with her friend and sports entrepreneur Noel Ben. Taking to Instagram, the actor shared a picture of her holding a clapboard and wrote that she is adding this new feather to her cap. She also wrote that more details about the first project will be announced soon.
“It’s been 15 years in, around and all about cinema and my curiosity, excitement, connection, knowledge and passion towards it continues to grow steadily. Finally decided to add this new delicate but glorious feather to my cap… Happy to share this news with all of you. Now let’s Clap Details soon. Need your love, support and blessing,” Mohandas wrote.
A few days back, the actor had shared a few pictures from the inaugural ceremony of her production company. Along with the photos she wrote, “This is a dream come true. Need your blessings and support. I thank my family, my production partner Noel Ben, all my well wishes & close friends and everyone else who believed in me and helped me to make this moment come to life.”

Talking to The Times of India about her debut production, the actor revealed that it will give prominence to women and children. It is reported that the film will be an anthology and will bring together three National Award winners.
Meanwhile, Mamta recently returned from Los Angeles and joined the sets of a film she is shooting for. The actor took to Instagram to announce the same and said she was excited about it.
She also has Malayalam film Lalbagh, directed by Prashanth Murali, in the pipeline. The cast includes Rahul Madhav, Sijoy Varghese, and Rahul Dev Shetty. The film is bankrolled by Raj Zacharias under his banner with the technical crew comprising Rahul Raj composing music and Suneesh Sebastian on the edit. It is reported that the shooting of the murder mystery film has been wrapped up and it may see a release after the Covid-19 pandemic eases down.
