Actor Siddharth Calls Journalist’s Tweet on PV Sindhu Sexist

Actor Siddharth did not approve of  journalist T S Sudhir’s tweet on Badminton Player PV Sindhu. The reporter wrote an article titled ‘Rio Olympics 2016: PV Sindhu’s success stems from efforts of Gopichand and her father’and posted a link to it on his account:

Actor Siddharth took offence at the tweet and called it ‘sexist’.

Sudhir responded saying he doesn’t quite get the point and that he was merely identifying them by their relationship.

Not convinced with Sudhir’s reasoning, Siddharth stood by his statement.

He also revealed that he found the headline sexist, not the article.

In the article, writer T S Sudhir gives us an inside look at PV Sindhu’s journey to the Rio Olympics, called ‘Operation Rio’. The article brings out the relationship between coach Gopichand and PV Sindhu. PV Sindhu’s father, PV Ramana, an international volleyball player himself, was also drafted into ‘Operation Rio’. He took special eight months leave to give her mental-skills training.
