The cast and crew flew to Chandigarh on November 12 and began with the shooting three days later. Neetu Kapoor had posted a picture on social media on that day and announced that all the actors had been tested for Covid-19.
The Chandigarh schedule was supposed to last 40 days, till December 24, and is now halted for 10 to 14 days.
Bankrolled by Dharma Productions, Jug Jugg Jeeyo revolves around two married couples across two generations, Dhawan and Advani, and Anil Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor.
This will be Mehta’s second directorial venture after the 2019 film Good Newwz. It will also mark Neetu Kapoor’s comeback to films after eight years. Her last film was Besharam in 2012. Earlier this year, she lost her husband and veteran actor Rishi Kapoor to cancer.
The film will also be Youtuber Prajakta Koli’s first big film after her recent Netflix original film Mismatched.
Recently, actor Sunny Deol announced on social media that he had tested positive for Covid-19 and is currently isolating in Manali.
