Kerala Police reportedly has reasons to believe that several senior artistes from the industry were aware of Dileep’s plan to abduct the actress. According to an Asianet report, police has prepared a list of actors who are suspected to have had an idea about the abduction.
The Special Investigation Team (SIT) for the case will soon question those people, but will not make any arrests yet.
The actress who was abducted and assaulted, allegedly upon Dileep’s instructions, was said to have had a fall out with him for a while, police notes. In fact, the police’s remand report last month said that the actor held a grudge against the actress for breaking his marriage with Manju Warrier. Allegedly, in 2013, at the rehearsal session of Mazhavillazhakil Amma, a stage programme organised by AMMA, Dileep had raged at the actress, and other artistes had to intervene to cool him down.

The team has traced those AMMA members who argued in favor of Dileep during its meeting just days before his arrest, and even interrogated Edavela Babu, secretary of AMMA.
On the other hand, while senior actors might be questioned soon, Dileep’s driver Appunni, who disappeared after the actor’s arrest, has surrendered to the cops. The driver evaded mediapersons stationed there and entered the Aluva Police Club for questioning this morning. Further updates are expected.
