The last schedule of Idhu Namma Aalu, a romantic comedy starring STR and Nayanthara, began in the city yesterday. Even as reports suggested that the film’s talkie portions had been completed, Adah Sharma joined the cast in a supporting role. Adah Sharma, who debuted with the Bollywood film 1920, went on to do five Telugu films. She will appear alongside STR in the title song ‘Idhu Namma Aalu’, sung by T Rajendhar. She has already begun work on those scenes, and will also feature in a few more scenes.

Adah hails from a Tamil family based in Mumbai. She recently told the Times of India, “I can speak Tamil. So working in a Tamil film is easier for me than, say, a Telugu film. I am in talks for [a] couple of other Tamil films, too. They will be finalised in a week’s time.”
Idhu Namma Aalu ran into multiple delays in the past. It also made headlines when a Twitter argument surfaced, between director Pandiraj and STR’s brother and music director, Kuralarasan.
