Aftab Shivdasani Is The Villain In ‘Bhaskar – The Rascal’

Bollywood actor Aftab Shivdasani will make his Tamil debut shortly. The actor has been roped in to play the villain in director Siddique’s Bhaskar – The Rascal.

“We wanted someone who would match Arvind Swami’s stature and also had the looks of a hero. After a long search, we finally zeroed in on Aftab for the role,” the film’s director Siddique told Times of India.

Bhaskar – The Rascal is a remake of Siddique’s Malayalam film of the same name, released in 2015. The film starred Mammootty, Nayanthara, and JD Chakravarthy. The remake will start its second schedule on May 9 in Kochi, and will also star actors Nasser and Siddique in pivotal roles.

The film is slated for an August release this year, with a Bollywood version of it in the pipeline. The Hindi version will have Sanjay Dutt in the lead, with the rest of the cast and crew yet to be finalised.

Aftab, who was last seen in last year’s Great Grand Masti, will play JD Chakravarthy’s role ‘Sanjay Sharma’ in the film.
