Director Aishwarya Dhanush will release her autobiography, Standing on an Apple Box, on 12th December, her father Rajinikanth’s birthday. Aishwarya, who has directed 3 (2011) and Vai Raja Vai (2015), is also actor Dhanush’s wife. Published by Harper Collins, the 250 page book will showcase her life story as a celebrity child, star wife, film-maker, mother and home-maker.
In a statement, Aishwarya Dhanush said, “This will be my debut book and will give the readers a glimpse into my personal life and incidents. I’m melancholic by nature, so there are philosophic musings alongside a personal narrative which has a mix of emotions, from highs and lows to anger and gratitude.”
Aiswarya is also currently directing a documentary called Cinema Veeran, based on stunt directors in Kollywood.
