Actors Aishwarya Rai and Ram Charan are reportedly in talks for Mani Ratnam’s next. A spokesperson for Madras Talkies told Silverscreen that discussions for Ratnam’s project are ongoing, but refused to confirm Rai and Charan’s involvement.

Rai had recently said that she was very interested in pursuing two scripts at the moment. One of these is reported to be Mani Ratnam’s script.
If this project does materialise, it will be made simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.
Aditi Rao Hydari, star of Mani Ratnam’s last film Kaatru Veliyidai had earlier confirmed that she has signed to be a part of the director’s new project.
An official announcement is expected soon.
