Aishwarya Rajesh plays a medical representative in her new film. The movie is directed by debutant SA Bhaskaran, who previously assisted Kamal Haasan and Jeethu Joseph in their directorials.
Speaking to Silverscreen, the actress said, “I have finished shooting for the film. My character is that of a medical representative. She is a bold person who stands up for the right things in the society.” The movie is reportedly a thriller and revolves around multiple interconnected crimes. When asked if she performs action sequences in the film, she responded with a firm no. As for further details, she remained tight-lipped.
The movie features Indian-American actor Nicky Sundaram, who will be seen opposite Aishwarya Rajesh. Kishore, Visaaranai fame Ajay Ghosh, Ramadas, and Thangadurai are also part of the cast.
The yet-to-be-titled movie is expected to hit theatres soon.
Meanwhile, Aishwarya Rajesh has a slew of projects in the pipeline. In Tamil she has Dhruva Natchathiram, the Vada Chennai sequels, Mei, and Siva Karthikeyan’s next with Pandiaraj. She has signed three Telugu projects, and is making her debut opposite Vijay Devarakonda. Directed by Kranthi Madhav of Onamalu fame, the as-yet-untitled film also features Raashi Khanna and Izabelle Leite in the lead. It is rumoured to be a comedy, produced by KS Rama Rao under the banner of Creative Commercials. Music is composed by Gopi Sundar.
Aishwarya is currently shooting for the Telugu remake of last year’s Kanaa. Titled Kowsalya Krishnamurthy… Cricketer, she reprises her role of a budding cricketer in the movie. It is directed by Bhimaneni Sreenivas Rao and produced by KS Ramarao. The dialogues are by KGF-fame Hanuman Chowdary. The cast includes actors Rajendra Prasad, Vennela Kishore, Jhansi, Shashank and Rangasthalam Mahesh. Dhibu Ninan Thomas, who scored music for the original, is working on the remake too.
Aishwarya Rajesh’s third Telugu film, with director NV Nirmal Kumar was announced recently, and it is titled Mis(s)match. She stars opposite Uday Shankar of Aata Kadara Shiva fame, who also directed the Tamil film Salim. The movie is a family drama, and the maiden production of Adhiroh Creative Signs.
