The crew of Thala 56 is shooting important scenes in Kolkata now. It was earlier reported that Shruti Haasan will be essaying the role of a cab driver in the film. But, now it has been learnt that it is Ajith who plays the cabbie in the film. At the shooting spot, Ajith was found in the costume of a cabbie and Shruti Haasan was found in a lawyer’s attire.
This yet-untitled film, called Thala 56, has Ajith, Shruti Haasan and Lakshmi Menon in the lead, alongside Ashwin Kakamanu, Kabir Singh and Soori in supporting roles. The film is directed by Siva, who had earlier collaborated with Ajith in Veeram. Anirudh Ravichander is composing music for the film which is slated for an October release.
