Actress Akshara Haasan – who debuted in director Balki’s Shamitabh – has denied reports that she was offered a lead role in Lingusamy’s Sandakozhi 2. Speaking to Silverscreen, Akshara said, “No, I have not been approached by the makers of Sandakozhi 2.” Several industry reports however stated that she is in discussion with the producers, and would make a final decision soon.
After her acclaimed performance in Shamitabh, Akshara indicated that that she was looking for a ‘proper script’ to make her Tamil debut.
Sandakozhi 2, directed by Lingusamy, has Vishal playing the lead. The original Sandakozhi that starred Vishal, Meera Jasmine and Rajkiran was a blockbuster hit, and Lingusamy confirmed that Meera Jasmine will play a small role in the sequel as well.
