Alia Bhatt Eyeing Hollywood Opportunities, Enlists Talent Agency WME, Which Represents Oprah, Emma Stone, Charlize Theron, Gal Gadot

Alia Bhatt, the Hindi actor, has signed a deal with an international talent agency called William Morris Endeavor in order to widen her horizons and look into opportunities in Hollywood, Deadline reported.

Bhatt confirmed the news on her Instagram Stories by sharing WME’s post welcoming her. However, the Gully Boy actor will continue to be represented by Echo Lake Entertainment, Matrix, and attorney Steve Warren.

WME represents prominent people from the entertainment world, including Oprah, Emma Stone, Charlize Theron, and Gal Gadot, among others.

Formed in 1898, WME is the longest-running talent agency that manages sports, media, events, and fashion. In 2019, it was named Agency of the Year at the Billboard Live Music Awards.

Bhatt is currently busy with several projects in the Hindi film industry. She recently began prepping for her debut production venture Darlings, which will be made under her Eternal Sunshine Production banner in association with Red Chillies Entertainment. She will be starring in the film alongside Roshan MathewVijay Varma, and Shefali Shah.

She also recently wrapped up the shoot of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi. Apart from this, Bhatt also has Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra, alongside Ranbir Kapoor, and the multi-starrer RRR, directed by SS Rajamouli, which also stars Ajay Devgn, Jr NTR, and Ram Charan. She is yet to restart the shoot for both of these films which were halted due to the ongoing pandemic.

Recently, producer-director Karan Johar announced his next directorial film with Bhatt and Ranveer Singh. The film, titled Rocky and Rani Ki Prem Kahani, will be a love story. The film will also star veteran actors like Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi. It is slated for a 2022 release.

Apart from Bhatt, actors Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Vidyut Jammwal have also recently signed contracts with different agencies in Hollywood. Roshan signed with the agency Gersh earlier this year, while Padukone inked a deal with ICM, which represents Regina King, Olivia Colman, and others.
