Director Ravichandran, whose credits include Kannedhirey Thondrinal and Majnu, is making a comeback with Natpathigaram 79. The movie has Raj Bharath and Vallinam actor Amjad Khan in the lead roles. Reshmi Menon, last seen in car seizing drama Burma, plays the female lead. It portrays the lives of two best friends and the relationship between their families.
Deepak Nilambur makes his composing debut with this film and and impressed Ravichandran said, “I introduced Harris Jayaraj in Majnu and he went on to become a famous music director. I see the same potential and talent in Deepak and am sure that he will attain great success!” Veteran composer Deva sings a peppy Gaana number which Ravichandran says will rock the charts when it is released. The director has put together a very experienced technical team including cinematographer RB Gurudev and editor Sabu Joseph.
Natpathigaram 79 is being shot around Chennai, Bangalore and Mysore and is likely to be a December release.
