Allu Arjun hails from a well-connected film family. He is the son of Allu Arvind, a popular producer. Ram Charan Tej, another rising star, is his cousin. He made his debut as a child artist with films such as Vijetha, and Daddy. He was first cast as the male lead in Kovalemudi Raghavendra Rao’s Gangotri. The film was a massive success, and Arjun followed it up with movies like Arya (which was remade in Tamil as Kutty), Bunny etc. In his 12 years in the industry, Arjun has made over 15 films, and a majority of them have been successful at the box office.
At present, Arjun is working on Duvvada Jagannadham opposite Pooja Hegde. Directed by Harish Shankar, the film is a racy thriller.
