Producer AM Rathnam has agreed to fund actor Sivakarthikeyan’s upcoming film. The two signed the contract yesterday, only two days after Vedalam’s release. Vedalam, starring Ajith, Shruti Haasan and Lakshmi Menon, has had a highly successful run at the box-office thus far.

The director, cast and crew for the project are still unknown. Several reports suggest that Naanum Rowdy Dhaan director Vignesh Shivan might direct Sivakarthikeyan’s film. However, Vignesh Shivan told TOI recently that he hadn’t written any new scripts as of now, and was content with the success of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan.
Producer AM Rathnam has collaborated with actor Ajith on three consecutive occasions, in Arrambam, Yennai Arindhaal and Vedalam. He is expected to team up with Ajith once again, for a film directed by Siva.
